Dr Tuan Vo


Pain, Occupational & Musculoskeletal Physician

Dr Vo is a dual-qualified Pain Specialist and Occupational Physician working in both public and private sectors. He underwent his pain medicine training at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Royal Melbourne Hospital. He is currently a Consultant at CALHN Pain Management Unit based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Adelaide where he is involved in the teaching of students and trainees.

He is a member of the Australian Pain Society, Australian and New Zealand Neuromodulation Society, Australia and New Zealand Society of Occupational Medicine and the International Association for the Study of Pain. He has been involved in research as well as presented at state and national meetings.

Dr Vo believes in personalized care and a collaborative multi-disciplinary team-approach in order to achieve the best outcomes for his patients. When indicated, he also utilises minimally invasive interventional pain management procedures including nerve blocks, rhizolysis, neuromodulation and drug infusion therapies.

His interests include:

  • Acute & chronic musculoskeletal (back, neck, knee and shoulder) pain

  • Work injury

  • Neuropathic pain

  • Post-surgical pain

  • CRPS

  • Chronic headache disorders

Dr Vo grew up in Adelaide and is passionate about improving the quality of life of his patients living with chronic pain. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, three children and the great outdoors.
